Season ahead President’s Report – Guy Randell

I would like to welcome all new players, continuing, supporters, partners and of course our incredible sponsors to season 2025/26.
The board has had some major restructure in the past months bringing a new structure including specific director roles and more support staff. This is enabling a fantastic leadership group to take us into the years to come. The new board is:
- President – Guy Randell
- Vice President – Joe Gunning
- Secretary – Stephen Cross
- Treasurer – Dave Vincent
- Director Representative – Wal Murdoch
- Director Local Cricket – Michael Frost
- Director Comms/Marketing/IT – Chris Peiris
- Director Women’s Cricket – Jenn Macklin
- Ass Director Local Cricket – Paul Bennett
I would like to firstly thank DMV, Burgess Rawson, ITSM Hub, Finnys and The Tradies for their incredible support to the master’s community. Without there invaluable support we wouldn’t be able to put on as many opportunities. So please support when you can.
There is now some great updates to the competition including finals series, more teams over three competitions/division, pink balls to align with nationals, inclusion of 40s age group to help with nationals recruitment and a range of new initiatives with a very strong focus on club and player engagement. All these along with the increased player registrations is looking to be an exciting and our best year yet.
We are all in on our nationals programs this year only a month away and have had more players trialling then ever. Overall we are in a very good position and more sponsorship will help to mitigate costs as we move forward. We are looking to significant improvement across all age groups and hopefully bringing home some trophies soon against the stronger states.
We have had some an unprecedented amount of players represent Australia and Australia A this year and we will highlight them in our socials.
Masters cricket is in a very strong place with increased recognition, alignment with Cricket Australia and more players, sponsors and support than ever. I encourage all players and supporters to keep being an advocate for our great game and encourage more and more to come along. Even if only for the mental health aspect of being in a change room, playing with mates and sharing a story.
Yours in Cricket
Guy Randell

For the first time, we will welcome Riverina to the Premier Two competition! Good luck to our friends from the bush!

All 3 competitions have semi-finals and a final towards the end of the season, and we will hopefully be able to also showcase our Masters players with a local T20 carnival in March 2026.
